PSP CheatUp was designed to simplify the task
of updating the cheat codes of any PSP cheat
engine through the use of the PSP's Wifi and a
wireless internet connection. The cheat files
are hosted by GBAtemp
(http://cheats.gbatemp.net/forum/).

HOSTING MY OWN ALTERNATIVE DB DOWNLOAD

PSP CheatUp supports downloading of alternative
download databases from websites other then
GBAtemp.

To keep the users safe from bad cheat databases
and to maintain some exclusivity with PSP
CheatUp the download requests are initially
sent to GBAtemp where they are then forwarded
to the alternative site. For this reason if
the GBAtemp cheat database is unable to be
downloaded any external databases cannot be
downloaded.

In order to be eligible to host a database on
an alternative server you must meet the
following requirements:

1. The cheat database must be contained within
a single ZIP archive in a directory structure
   similar to the GBAtemp database.

2. The server must support a scripting language
such as PHP and accept query string variables.

3. The ZIP archive must have a static URL and
be accessible by the update script for getting
information such as file size (file hosting
   sites can NOT be used).

4. You must be able to give something to help
the GBAtemp cheat database, this can be
encouraging coders at your site to join the
GBAtemp cheats forum, providing tested codes
or a permanent link to the GBAtemp cheat
forum on the main page of your site which is
   clearly visible to all users.

5. Other aspects may be taken into consideration
before the cheat database is accepted.

If you agree to the above terms/requirements and
would like to host a cheat database on an external
server contact me and I will provide you the
relevant details (please note I will NOT write
the web script for you which interfaces with PSP
CheatUp).

If the above terms are ever broken the agreement
to allow you to use PSP CheatUp for your database
will be terminated and will no longer work with
PSP CheatUp.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why doesn't this load on my PSP?
A: Ensure you have a recent custom firmware
installed on your PSP. 5.50 GEN-B is also
incompatible with PSP CheatUp due to the
   homebrew bug in the firmware.
A: Some flash0 custom themes interfere with
the VLF library and cause the program to
crash. Ensure the standard Sony theme is
   installed on the flash0.

Q: I get an error message when trying to view
the Changelog or GameList, why is this?
A: Sometimes I remove the Changelog/GameList
because I get annoyed by people taking my
DB and merging it with their own making
it impossible to ever fulfil my objective
to have the largest public PSP cheat
database. Some people also post the codes
on other websites without crediting the
original code makers or linking back to
where the cheats were originally from.

Q: How can I help out with the project?
A: You can help out by submitting WORKING
cheats or making cheat for the cheat
database by registering at the GBAtemp
cheat forum (link above) and posting the
codes in the PSP section. But be sure to
follow the posting guide outlined in the rules.

Q: Where are the PSP cheats downloaded from?
A: The cheats are downloaded from
    http://cheats.gbatemp.net/PSP/.

Q: You don't have cheats for my games, why?
A: You can submit cheats at
   http://cheats.gbatemp.net/forum/.

Q: How often do you plan on updating the cheat
   database?
A: My aim is to update the cheat database at
least 1 time per week. This will usually be
   done Sunday night (GMT+10 time).

Q: Do you give credit to the code makers?
A: Credit is given to the original code makers
on the cheat forum. Those who have a a large
amount of codes (or complex codes) in the
cheat database are also mentioned "Credits
and Help" text file distributed with the
   database download.

Q: What happens if GBAtemp goes down, is there
a mirror setup so I can still download the
   cheats?
A: Kinda, I have setup a mirror to the cheats
   at http://www.cheatup.co.cc/. You will only
be able to update from PC using this mirror
however as I haven't setup PSP CheatUp or
my server to support updating from within
   PSP CheatUp.

Q: Is this program made by the people behind
   the DS homebrew UsrCheatUp?
A: No, however the program follows the same
general idea and allows for the updating of
the PSP cheat database without the need of a
computer. The application was created after
a request was made by a member of GBAtemp.

Q: Did anyone actually ask any of these
   questions in the FAQ?
A: Most of these questions were asked except
   for a few.
