HideMov is a PRX module for use with one of Dark_AleX's OE firmwares that stops the PSP's video menu from finding any files until a button combination is pressed.
When launched with the XMB, the module forces the PSP to be unable to find any videos, so it just returns: "There are no videos". When the button combination is pressed, the PRX lets the video menu find you files again, and you can your movies at will!

For extra security, you can re-disable video's with another button combination. With this utility, you can prevent people from rooting around your personal stuff with ease!

The module itself is very light, so it shouldn't impair your PSP's boot time noticably!

WARNING!
~ If you've entered the video menu while it's in one state (shown or hidden, and then you switch it, nothing will seem to have changed if you immediately open the video menu (the PSP cache's it).
To "update" the video menu, just go into the memory stick option of another feature (such as game, saved games, photo, etc), and the cache will be cleared! (Thus the video menu will have updated)
I'm trying to find a way around the problem.

~ This isn't completely secure. If someone knows what they're doing, they can disable the module from the OE recovery menu!
Hopefully, the fact that I've named the module "module.prx" should fool the slightly-less dimwitted.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Button Combi's while in the XMB:

[Home] + [L trigger] = Show/unlock video files
[Home] + [R trigger] = Hide/lock video files

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Instructions:

1. Place the file "module.prx" into "SEplugins" in the root of your memory stick.

If you really want, you can change the directory and name of the module. If you're going to change the directory, I would suggest PSP/system.

2. Open SEplugins/VSH.txt with notepad or another text editor. If it doesn't exist, create a blank txt file (not a .DOC or anything) named VSH.txt and open it.

3. Add the following line to the file:
"ms0:/SEplugins/module.prx" (without the quotes; change the directory or filename to what it should be if you've changed either of them).

4. Disconnect your PSP from USB and boot into recovery mode by holding [R] at startup. Go to "Plugins" and press [X].
Find the line that says "module.prx" (or whatever you named it), and press [X] on it, so it says "enabled".

5. Exit recovery, and you will boot into the XMB. The video folder will be hidden at every startup. To unlock it, press [Home]+[L]. To re-lock it, press [Home]+[R]. Please see the first warning in this readme.
