Duke Nukem 3D-PSP Pitchfixer tools by MrPeanut
Build 1, and hopefully the only build!
===================================================================================
I'm very pleased to release my set of tools to fix the beloved sound pitch bug!

[Nature of the error]
The problem is a resampling glitch in SDL_Mixer only present with Creative Labs' voc files (the sound files used in duke 3d)

[Fix for the problem]
Resample all of the sound files as another format that SDL_Mixer supports, in this case wav.

[How to use the applications]
1. Create a directory on your pc's hard drive (I chose C:\pitchfixer) to unzip all the files to.
2. Take your duke3d.grp file, and copy it to the ROOT of that folder, (i.e C:\pitchfixer\duke3d.grp).
3. Open a dos command prompt.
4. Navigate to your pitchfixer directory, (i.e. C:\Pitchfixer>)
5. type ncgrouplist duke3d.grp [ENTER] (this creates a list of the files you want converted, I did it this way in case you only wanted to convert only specific files)
6. Type pitchfixer [ENTER]

That's all there is to it, your old group is renamed to duke3d.gr_ and your new converted group remains duke3d.grp. Copy duke3d.grp to your psp, and your sounds are fixed!

[More info]
All the applications are written by me, except voc2wav.exe.
Creative labs, if you have a problem with me including that file, contact me and I won't use it but I doubt you'll care
since voc2wav's creation date is 1992 and I found it on a freeware website. :) There was no license included so I guess it's public domain. There's no sense reinventing the wheel.

Thanks everyone for your support and keep looking for future updates!
