Brewology

I need to cover all of my bases. Should I: a) update the Homebrew channel first, b)install a custom IOS, c)other.
If I use the workaround patch, then update the Homebrew channel, I should be all set. Any flaws or otherwise problematic points I should know about?

Just don't update your Wii system menu. As far as I know they have not made complete work arounds for the new version.

Thanks, brent. On a somewhat related note, are the CIOS any better than the official IOS?
