homebrew questions, please help

ok, so i have the homebrew ready on my sd card but before i use the zelda hack i need to know:
what are the risks of homebrew?
do i need wifi to get games on hb?
can i use wii roms with homebrew?
will the emulators on home brew play any rom with that system, if so how do i know what controls to use?

sorry for sounding like a dumbass but i searched AGAIN and still didnt find anything but i read the softmii guide and found out i need wifi for downgrading. is it for anything else?
Did you give it Some...You know...Some?

When you downgrade, you need to be connected to the internet. That is how you are able to choose which firmware to downgrade to off of the severs to be. Also, make sure to read the enclosed readme files that come with this package.

i dont have wifi! i live in the country and cant afford a router for wireless broadband. by the way, where do you people learn all this sh*t about the wii?

Use LAN. A wii LAN adapter would suit you just fine since you don't have wifi. Learning about the wii can take time. Alot of people have connections to learn this stuff. Most people are really tech savy. I'm the type of person who understands to an extent. I learn real easily though. That's just me though. It can be kind of easy to learn something you are very interested in. Time is what it takes. Consumption for everyone!!!

How are you on the internet now. No wifi= screwed and no LAN adapter=screwed. Just search the net bye now.

im using verizon wireless internet(like what a laptop would use)
how ami screwed? from what ive read there isnt much wifi is use for on homebrew you cant use sd card for and from the search i havent seen much you cant use 3.3 for compared to 3.2 besides "3.2 is recommended.
