message...cant read .dol .elf files when using hack. HELP

When I tried to install the homebrew. I spoke to the man the hack kicked in and it then stopped and said that it can't read the .dol file nor the .elf files. have I got the wrong download????

Have you definately got the Homebrew Channel in the root of your SD card?

Sorry guys, thats all sorted now.. what i have now is a no ios message when i try to load a back up disc.
i've tried Wii gators gamma and just gator but both come up with a disc error message which one do i need i am on version 3.4 uk
HELP PLEASE
