Wii hcking issue, need help badly..

i had my wii mod by a friend, i'm not sure what version it was, however my issue was can i use my burned copy of zelda to work along with the twilight hack??
my whole point was to update my mod-ed wii to a higher version cause some game eg. little king story, had cease to work..
