De Blob Update?!!!

When you boot it, is clearly states "... if you have modified your system, this update my render the unit unfunctional" (essentially)... I have an Modded Wii, so I can play backups of the games I own and not have to fear scratched discs not working, I am concerned about this update, ANYONE know ANYTHING??? Thanks!!!
