The first time you set up homebrew on your Wii you need a copy of Twilight Princess. It has an exploit in it that allows you to install the Homebrew Channel. Once you install it you never need TP again. Just rent it or borrow it from a friend. You only need it for 10-15 minutes anyways.

If your Wii system menu is 3.2 or under and you have a modchip installed, you can also download a bootable disc to install it. To check your Wii system menu version, go into the menu. It should be in the top right corner (i.e. 3.2U).
