The firmware won't matter and it will most likely be 4.1+
you will have boot2v4+ on it so don't get any hopes up about bootmii,
it is hackable, just not as much as other wiis. Basicly hackable enough to play free games.

hi all the wii is for my grandson and all that will be for is to play games nothing else .
what do i need to downgrade it and is it easy to do that as im a beginner at this .

i wouldnt recommend downloading as 50/50 new wiis possibly have hardware that if you downgrade below 3.4 will brick. that being taken into hand and the fact if u bricked because of downgrading you warranty will go and your have to fawk out cash for it to be fixed.
