How to speed up Wii Wifi?

I was just wondering what I could do to speed up my Nintendo Wii Wifi. I've got a generally fast internet connection but I want to do whatever it takes to play ssbb without lag. I'm really competitive when it comes to ssbb and lag really takes all the fun out of it. Any suggestions?

If you have a wireless router that is feeding the signal to your Wii and it has those little "antenna" on the top or back of it, there's some pretty simple little Do-it-yourself Wifi Antenna Signal Boosters that you can buy/ create yourself. It helps direct the signal in one direction to help assure that you will get a better and more reliable connection with less interference. There's also electrical ones. Shutting down any programs on any computers on your network that utilize the internet for any reason would also be recommendable.

if you are the host of a game that'll speed it up abit, just make sure no one else is hugging its resources using torrents or something.
