[HELP] Playing games from external hdd on PS3!

i have downloaded naruto ultimate ninja storm 2 and the file type just says file. how do i get it to play it on my ps3?

What do you mean by file? It's just named as 'file' instead of with the extension?

If you downloaded it then there will one of two things you have, either a bunch of spanned .rar archives or just a folder of the image of the disc, if you have the .rar files you need winrar to extract them to so that you have the folder layout of the game, then you'll need to either copy them to an external HDD or FTP them to the internal drive, obviously you need to do this on a jailbroken PS3, if you tell us more about the files you downloaded we can provide more in-depth instructions
