Welp, it looks like I'm about to spend a lot of money on repairing my Mac. This morning it started showing all sorts of hard drive errors, and half of my files don't open at all. Any advice?

It might be dead, or maybe something malfunctioned and you can still make it work yourself. Make sure to check it.

Good advice, you should find out for certain if the disk is damaged, or if it's a one-off incident. A good way is to diagnose your hard drive by running a mac disk repair software, since it'll provide a detailed analysis. If it's indeed a problem with the hardware, you should restore all the files possible and replace the drive as soon as possible.

Hello and good evening. I always go to the same web page. It allows me to double-check all of the applications I require. This site, https://u-tor.com/ is a manual software check. This makes my work a lot more appealing. After all, I can't do it all by myself while doing other things. I am confident that this is exactly what you want and that it will be of assistance to you. Best wishes

Have you tried any utilities to restore your disk? Recuva, Disk Drill or RecoveRx?
