How is that transparent text done?

but the font border is opaque...

is that a font name anyway you stroke it then set the mode the softlight it should do the trick

opaque as in not see-thru!

ok psicryptor....
-use the minifont and type whatever you want like your name.
-add a stroke to the font and make it like one pixel or 2 pixel stroke and change the color of it if you please
-click your text layer (which should already be highlighted) and switch the blending options from Normal to either Softlight or overlay
-and it comes out to be that effect

thanks stk... got it... whats the deal with rasterize that i have to do to the font layer before putting on any effects?

that only happens with filters. when you do a filter it has to convert ur text into an image and there is no way yet that u can edit ur text afterwards.

Only if the filter expands.. which then all problems will be solved.

they're called minifonts. personally like mini7 but its a payfont. look around the net n you'll find quite a few... PM me if you wanna know how to use them
