Hello Guys!! I'm Alben a newbie. I am a technical guy and willing to learn about upgrades.

Just got my PSP slim 2001 model 3 days ago. It's current software version is 3.80 M33-5. This version as installed by the store owner so that I could play downloaded games (as what they said)

I read some threads and there were several versions discussed. My question is, what is the best version I cold install on m PSP?

I really find a lot of infomation on this forum as a newbie. Keep it up guys!!

You should be fine with your current firmware. The newest is 3.90 M33-3 I believe, so you're close to the newest that is available. Personally, I use 3.53 M33. Call me old school... idk lol. But welcome to the forum. I'm one of the head administrators here. I'm sure you'll figure out the mod staff soon. If you're willing to learn, we're willing to teach, and we have many articles in our tutorials section to help you learn more specific aspects of the PSP.
