First post on PSPBrew - please help

Hi all. Just wanted to know how to play a downloaded game on my psp. Here's where I am at: 1. have unmodified, ver. 3.72 PSP w/ 4gig, formatted mem. stick, w/ ISO folder I created, attached to my pc via usb; 2. in the process of downloading bit torrent MLB08 The Show (PS2 DVD) 2.79 GB file. After I download the file, what do I have to do to play it on the PSP? It can't be as easy as copying the game file to the ISO folder, inserting any UMD game and selecting memory stick from the game menu, can it? Thanks for your help.

#1 You need to go to a custom Firmware.

#2 You can't play a PS2 game on a PSP...

#3 Welcome to the brew!!!!!

Thank you

Are you available on a paid consultation basis? In other words, could I pay you to guide me from step A-Z?
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for your diligence, gentlemen.

But I am a forty year-old attorney! I don't know, fifty bucks for phone support to go from start to finish for gaming. I am actually doing this for my son.

It's np dude, we don't charge :P. Although if we did..

Heres what you need to do:

Buy a Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick.

When you stick both the battery and memory stick in the psp you can install a Custom Firmware to it.
When you do that, the PSP can play ISOs and CSOs and Emulators and other homebrew.
Does your kid prefer any of the old consoles? NES, SNES, N64, SEGA Genesis or something like that?
The PSP can also play PS1 games, you can download the files and put them on the memory stick.
Oh yea, you can play GBA games on the PSP as well, if you need links to the emulators let me know
and I can give you some, and where to download the games.

EDIT: Oh and don't use torrents, pspiso.com is a nice place to download stuff. There are direct links to
downloads so they don't take near as long. Hope this helps :)

Thanks

For the reply adventwolf. No, just PSP or PS1 games are fine. I got a membership to pspblender so I assumed I would use that to download games. Should I not just because of speed? Where can I buy a pandora battery and magic memory stick?

No don't use pspblender, you have to pay! You can get them for free :P.
It's best to not use torrents because they are kinda slow and it could be a virus or something.
And I messaged you some stuff of where to get the stuff.
