[Tutorial] Make a USB Charger for your PSP [COMPLETE]

[Tutorial] Make a USB Charger for your PSP

Hey guys! Here's a Tutorial on making a PSP charger!!!!!

You'll need:
    --A Male USB(Type A) cable
    --Any charger that fits into your PSP's charger port
    --A wire stripper(When I originally did this I didn't have one, so I used my teeth :P)
    --Tape

#1 Use the Wire cutters to remove the rubber shell from the USB Cable, and the Charger cord to be used.

#2 Strip the wires underneath the plastic shell of both. The charger should only have two wires. The USB cable should have four(Green, White, Red, Black) only strip Red and Black.

#3 Look at the chargers Transformer(The part that plugs into something)

If it says Negative outside, Positive Inside then, connect the USB cable's Red Wire to the charger's Red Wire, and the USB cable's Black Wire to the charger's black Wire.

If it says Positive outside, Negative inside. Connect the USB cable's Red Wire to the charger's Black Wire, and the USB cable's Black Wire to the Charger's Red Wire.

#4 Tape evarything up so It looks neat.

#5 Plug in to any item with USB Ports(Computer, PS2, X360, CableBox etc.)

Now, don't try this if you don't understand it. Worst case senario: Your PSP gets Fried and becomes unuseable beyond Pandora's repair.

I'll have pictures after a while.

Good Luck :D

I'm really not sure...
...But... If I had to guess, I'd say:

White = Positive.
Open = Negative.

If you see sparks or if your charger stops working, I cannot be held accountable...

YOUVE BEEN WARNED

1) What are the advantages of using this over the one with mini usb attached to it too?

2) Can I use this off of my iPod nwall charger?
