Well to make a long story short I was playing battlefield online, and I went to turn my tv and my candle fell on top of it. My lid cracked and wax got all inside :| . Now I just gotta look at the bright side its an even more better reason to get a PS3.

Ouch, ya good reason to get a PS3, hafta get the one with backwards compatibility with PS2 games. The new $400 one doesn't have that, but you can get 5 free blu-ray discs free with purchase at this place i know. Thats a pretty wicked deal if your just wanting to buy a blu-ray player.

I don't need backwards compatibility my brother has a ps2. Plus why would you want to play a ps2 game when you have a PS3? BTW their was a 80 gig PS3 on ebay for buy if now at $350 USD and $25 USD shipping fee.

Figured you wanted a PS3 so you could play your PS2 games, since you said it would be a good reason.

you might be able to get the wax out of your ps2 by heating it up a little with a blow dryer and using a paper towel to soak it up...just a though it might not be shot yet.

I'd be willing to take it off your hands DA, if you have no further use for it. I'm pretty good with the PS2 repairs and all. In fact, mine is a generation 3 and a generation 6 PS2 combined, and I got it working. Both were broken, and now it works, but a few things are flawed with it - namely DVD movie playback, as it won't work. The hardest part about the mod was that the DVD trays are COMPLETELY different between the models, and the magnetic strips were in danger of being too short, but it's all good.

Anywho though, if it needs a place to rest in peace, I'd at least try to perform some of my Frankensteinian medical practice.
