Forgive me HelldashX if I seem to trash, not my intent. I only want to warn non-developers of what they get or rather, don't get if they download 3.73HX-1
NO POPS, NO HOMEBREW, NO RECOVERY MENU, NO README.
As always, download at your own risk. I am downgrading with Pandora now and will install 3.71-M33 version 3 or 4.

Havent tried the firmware to say otherwise, but i do know that there is absolutely no difference between 3.72 and 3.73 firmware. So its a pointless upgrade anyway.

It is true, there is little difference between official $ony3.72 and 3.73.
I got caught up with 3.72HX-2 because I was out of town at a friends house and wanted to test out the PS3 PSP capability with his PS3 to get him to buy a PSP. Anyhow, I got the improper firmware error running 3.71 M33 and without doing my proper research assumed that I needed 3.72 to get around the issue. Dark Alex had "retired" so I tried Helldashx firmware.
From what I have read CFW 3.72HX-2 is pretty much 3.71-M33 with minor one minor difference. I do not know exactly what was changed but supposedly 3.72HX-2 was intended to have the same capability as 3.71-M33 because it was based on the same code. However, after upgrading to HX-2 I immediately noticed that Pops capability was gone and there were random lockups when running UMDs. Logically I installed 3.73HX-1 assuming these issues would have been addressed. For whatever reason they were not.
I now know that 3.73HX-1 is a Work In Progress and posted this thread as soon as I could so that other non developers would not make the same error I did.
I am attempting to downgrade with Pandora but am having issues because the 150 kernel has been disabled in 3.73HX. The 3.xx installer for Pandora is not taking so I am looking for alternatives or I will wait for the next update which I anticipate will happen in the next 5 days.

Was able to use Pandora to downgrade with Dark_Moon's Kernel add-on for 3.73.
Thanks Dark_Moon!!
