You don't use the battery at all in the exploit.
You need sh*t and a special savedata and a firmware less than 5.03.
You run the game and it'll autoload the savedata and run the homebrew.
Right now, there's a helloworld, Pong clone, and some other random game. (Bomber Man clone?)

Right now, no.
You have to have access to certain files to do that, and this exploit does not, yet.
An HEN is coming soon, though.
N00bz is heading it's way once again to give people homebrew. Don't worry.

What?
You don't need the pandora's battery.
It probably will never be used again.
The exploit is just through the Gripshift game.
You don't even have to have a PSP battery.
And the PSP-2000 was hacked really fast.

I wouldnt go as far as saying that pandora wouldnt ever be used again. Obvioustly Sony themselves still use the same technique, they just have it so that it doesnt work unless its signed. So our magic stick files being unsigned coding wont work...

Well, I'm just exaggerating to get the point across that the Gripshift exploit is completely different than the Pandora hack.

I guess I'm slightly confused about this. I've seen a video of a 3000 running HEN, but yet why are they keeping it secret, and HEN definitely means that CFW could be installed right?

It's kept a secret because it's not userfriendly.
There's problem still a debug menu in it and a lot of other dev stuff that the public shouldn't tamper with.
More people would brick than HEN probably.
They need to make it so the average n00b can at least understand some of it.
And yes, the HEN can lead to CFW.
But in reality, that's basically what HEN is. CFW just usually has a few fixes to stop updating to OFW and a recovery menu and stuff like that.

Yeah, thats good, I have a 2000, and a 3000 but I only want to keep the 3000 if I can get CFW sometime soon. I actually like the hardware better, (the screen is just OK) but it has 5.01 on it, and I don't have gripshift...

The explanation of why there is no HEN yet makes no sense. They have the right program to do it but they wont release it until there is another exploit which may not exist. Also they aren't releasing it because they don't want sony to block the exploit but yet they would block it even if there was another one, and idk...

it's probably just a lame excusses those frenchies made up, because the iso loading and homebrew playing hen fw they made is fake. i mean, in the video he doesnt play any homebrew games and the only iso backup he plays is an iso of gripshift. the video was pretty fishy to me... i mean if it was real, on of the people at gen should have leaked it by now...

The HEN is real, but it only makes your PSP HEN until you shut it down.
There's not enough of a grip on the files you need to make the PSP-3000 fully HEN or have CFW.

I think there exists the power to run CFW but they aren't making it public just yet.
