Sony Vs. Hombrew

hey guys. i was just wondering...if homebrews are not illigal, then why is sony so against it? why are we not allowed to download emulators on our psp's?
i'm kinda guessing its cuz they wont make any money...but still why are they so against it?

because emulators play roms which are illigle.And dont think their not gonna make money.Their urging people to buy 2.0 and their giving speacial new thigns out for it.Also some homebrews are illigle.But the thing they really hate about this junk is the loaders.Its cuz loaders are from psp games and sony really hates that cuz people are gonna download them for free instead of purchase it.

i personally think sony should start making a ps1 emu for the psp if its like 5 bucks ill buy and they will easily make profit like that and u could just rip the games u want to play off the ps1 game u already own

I higly doubt sony is gonna make an emulator.Especially for PLaystation 1.But I heard their making games that can only run on 2.0.
