Just got my PSP yesterday on the first day of release.... didnt do the upgrade.. so running 1.52

BUT... I am new to this so dont know about coding etc.. infact I know sweet FA!!

What I want to know is what should I be doing to it now to get the most out of this beauty!

Computer wise I am running a MAC on 10.3.9

How do I (Simply... if possible!) downgrade my PSP to 1.5?
how can I surf the web... without installing the upgrade?
Install the pspbrew flash generator?
What else should be going on my PSP?

I read last night that when registering the PSP on yourpsp.com .. to put the date as 31/8/05 (rather than 1st sept), which I have done... but it doesnt seem to allow me to do anything.. I am sure I read someting about accessing the TV option.

I am really sorry if you guys are groaning at my stupidity! But we all have to start somewhere (at least I was smart enough not to upgrade! :)

Appreciate your time guys

Upgrading to 2.0 would likely be unwise to do if you intend on running any homebrew apps. If that wab downgrade app actually does come out you will regret upgrading. You can download web browsers running the 1.5 firmware so upgrading to 2.0 is a bit pointless. Even more so when you thnk about how much easier it is to type using an actual keyboard on a computer. Besides, if you buy the game Wipeout Pure there is a hidden web browser built in that will run off of any firmware. It's nice to see someone else who uses apple computers. Believe it or not there are quite a few really good psp applications made for OSX.
