what verson 3's can play roms?

i currently have a psp 2.82(updated from 2.81)
i wana get some roms on my psp but i dont wana risk brickin
i heard that some of the 3.? works with roms.which would be the best to get? and what games have the these updates to do this

only custom firmware and 1.50 are capable of playing emulators/roms...so your gonna have to downgrade then upgrade to custom firmware. To be honest theres no more risk at downgrading than there is when you update using sony's update.

cause his is probably 3.40 oe-a...which would mean its custom firmware.

ok that would explain alot,i guess he dident know that as he had someone else do it for him
good news is i just managed to get a copy of lummines held for me to pick up tomorrow,as i understand you need to update to 3.5 to downgrade to 1.5 with it
so where can i get a 3.5 update?

click on the 3.50 downgrader and it has all the files you'll need.
