first off, let me apoligize if am asking something that already been covered. if it indeed had please provide link to discussion.

my problem:
had 3.52 m33-4 on fat psp decided to step-up to 3.71 m33-4 installation went thru fine for about 15 seconds, then the psp kept freezing when would try to acess mem crd to play homebrew and emus. Now after following installation to the letter and got the 1.5 kernel add-on in there but don't know what is causing the freeze and shutdown.

Now aside from the transferring of my saves back to mem crd after installation(only have 1- 4gb card). i also proceeded to added some of the customized theme files i had backed-up from 3.52 to flash0. i understand now from my researching of the issue that it can't and i shouldn't have done that cause of difference in new theme package so have removed and replace orignal files. But still getting the freeze shutdown occurrence.

Does this mean i have a semi-brick on my hands or is there a step that i didn't cover in the installation, or a file that is missing or damaged?.
Would appreciate any help.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention when it started happening figured my installation had gone wrg so i downgraded to 1.50 then upgraded back to 3.71 m33-4 about 3 times now, eliminating any extra steps to pinpoint whether it the saves that are causing the issue or the flashing of flash0, also hear about formating flash1 but dont want to dig a deeper hole till i get some feedback from ya.

So again apologizes for the long letter but am worried.

SO you re-installed the firmware and it still has bugs?

Thanks for the reply,
but i think i got it cause as i stated above in reinstalling i eliminated adding flash files from 3.52 customization back-up and it hasn't frozen up nor shutdown yet so think i nipped it in the butt. but still do have a question. do i still need to format flash1 or should i just leave it only b4 making a regretable mistake.

Well if you don't have any problems I guess you should be ok, maybe just make a backup for later on if you need something.
