Hey all. I've had a slim since January and believe it's 3.60 firmware.

I've been wanting to get CFW on it, but my friend is constantly being a dick and won't help me out. He has a phat with cfw before the M33 format so I was telling him I'd update it for him so then I could try to get cfw on my slim.

Anyway i just want to know if I could get CFW on my slim without the need of hardmodding the battery? I'm assuming the answer is still no at this point and will have to wait for a friend to lend me their psp.


I am basically a noob when it comes to the psp and ll this homebrew stuff but I do know that I'll need a Pandora'd phat battery and a mem stick with certain files

yeah mate you need to either hardmod the battery or get your mate ti make u a pandora battery....its still the only way to do it sorry. or you could buy a datel tool battery off the net or a pandora battery off ebay...but that costs money

does my friend's psp have to have a certain CFW version in order to make a Pandora Battery that will work for a slim?

You can create a pandora without a CFW PSP.

Isn't it a pandorable battery through hard modding, not a pandora battery with the hacked data?

hmmm he will prob need a more recent firmware than he has....what is he on?
