hey i'm a ridiculous n00b..so please go easy =\

i wanted to play gba/nes games on my psp..and this site caught my eye. then it provided awesome information..thanks!

anyway, i was running 2.82, upgraded to the 3.03, then downgraded to 1.5. worked flawlessly. i even got the 3.03oe-c to work!

being a complete moron, i forgot the downgrade files were in the game folder still..so i decide to test the thing [see if it still plays psp games] and gta was still in the thing..so i hit play. as soon as the black screen happened, i felt that "oh mother ----" and began to swear uncontrollably.

now the poor little thing is a black screen..and doesnt turn off. i'm pretty sure that's bricking..but it still enters recovery mode. i saw the "run program at..." and made a recovery folder, and put the Eboot for my 2.82 update i saved, and it sits black for a few seconds, then the pretty psp format is back [i got excited] but it's just there saying "The update cannot be started. The data is corrupted."

is there anyway to fix, or is it dead?

you need to get the actual recovery file, u cant just run an update as a recovery, use this... http://www.sendspace.com/file/mm3kyz

y didnt u put a 1.5 update in the recovery folder?

somthing like that happen to me but i made a recovery folder and put a 1.5 updae in there and it work
