Frigg. This sucks because I was just about to sell it and now I can't. But after doing the Pandoras battery can you still play cso's/iso's, homebrew, custom firmware etc?

file wise did you only try and over write the 01-12.bmp file. if so i donno how that would brick it is a non crashing file. with out the 01-12 file you should just get a white screen. any way try hooking up to a power source like a charger and try turning it on i used to have that happen with the old tif hack
no

i think the problem lies in the fact that its not recognizing the power source there for not turning one and going to the recovery menu

You have to reconvert the battery back to normal. It's included in darkpacmans tutorial.
Anyways, I'm assuming that you deleted files to place your newer ones in. Most tutorials say to delete them then place your new files in...However, the safest way to flash stuff is to not delete your files, just paste over top of the files then click ok to overwrite....if you had of flashed using that method, this bricking would have been avoided

I did do that. But for w/e reason my usb cord came out and I thought w/e but turned it on green light black screen, NO RECOVERY MODE. Plugged it into the charger nothing. But I guess my only chance is to use panadoras battery and really don't want to but I guess I have to.

hm, so it does turn on? just a black screen? my psp was like that before but i fixed it by goin into recovery mode. guess you have to use PB tho. i tried to put that on my mem card and battery but i couldnt figure out what to do. guess i eventually should do it.

maybe your recovery menu got deleted after your usb came out because once i pulled out my memory card to fast before it was finished copying and all my files were gone

it would be nice if DAX created a memory stick program thing that only put recovery back into the internal flash.and it worked....So then all you had was a recovery mode. That would make it a LOT easier. Then just put 3.52-4 OEA

on there.
But this happend to me too. But i deleted the flash and was putting older flash i saved from my cpu onto it. Yes its bricked. But i made the battery and memory stick. Now i have a seperate "magic" memory stick and a pandora battery (thats really weird cause it acts like the regular battery when my 4gb sticks in their and acts like the pandora battery when my "magic" memory sticks in there) and use them when i brick.............CANT WAIT TILL A SLIM unbricker comes out.

Kay well thanks guess I will have to get a new battery and memory stick. But once I finish doing pandora's if I put my old battery and mem stick in will it be bricked or normal?

What do you mean? if you put in your old stick and battery after you unbrick your psp all is fine and go on with your business. If you put the pandora battery and pandora memory stick in tho it will still go to recovery mode. But i would save the pandora memory stick and pandora battery just in case u ever brick again. Are planning on getting a slim and thats why your gonna sell ur old psp? they are more thne likely going to use the old battery and fat psp to unbrick them. So thats why i'm keeping mine.

Okay nice. Well I hope I get my batteries before the new ones come out, then I can't do it.
Also does the ez installer do everything for me so I don't have to use command prompt etc? And is it safer, harder, riskery?
