Different whut do I do?

I am very new at this, I have a psp and the firmware is 2.60 how do i go about getting it to 3.03 OE-B? And when I use the oeupmaker with 150.pbp and 303.pbp to get the data file, it always comes up 0 bytes... i don't know how to check the hashes and and i'm running the programs through a piture eboot loader? where am I goin wrong??? Originally, I only for into hacks and such to play snes games, but now I'm wanting to play psx iso's and i'm lost! Help me out PLEASE???

First, you should probably upgrade to 2.71 then downgrade to 1.5. Then come back and we can help you some more.
EDIT: Sorry you can check the Tutorials section for help with the downgrade.

There is a downgrade tutorial written by puncharger that you should use. It is in the tutorials section. For further questions, I don't think he'd mind if you ask him about any issues you have.

goto the home page for this site. The download should be in the downloads section somewhere.
it might be easier to goto
www.pspupdates.qj.net and download the file there.

that pspupdates site, i've not been able to get anything to download? also, I've never changed the firmware on my psp, about how long does it take to do so?

you can try
www.psp-hacks.com they have a good download section as well.
when you upgrade, it only takes a few minutes (2 maybe). Once you get the 2.71 update file (it will be EBOOT.PBP) just follow punchargers tutorial in the tutorials section.

also, is it entirely neccisary to have an adapter... all i have a the battery, and the external battery charger?
