Description:
WiiCade's new version Wii remote API now out - Image 1Ever wondered what it would be like to play some of those nifty Flash games with a Wii Nunchuk? Well, wonder no more. WiiCade Labs has developed a new version of their popular Wii Remote API (Application Programmer Interface). This new and improved API now supports motion sensing (although it is only available on the IR sensor on the remote), four player gaming and even Nunchuk support. What's more is that source code for the client API is distributed under the terms of the LGPL (Lesser GNU Public License) while the source for the server is under the GPL (GNU Public License). Here's a list of the features that the API supports according to the overview on their site: * Up to four remotes at a time * X and Y screen coordinates * Angle of rotation along the Z-Axis * Distance from the television * Information about button presses * Selective enabling of browser shortcuts * Ability to change browser's background color * Detection of remotes connecting and disconnecting * Limited support for the Nunchuk attachmentThe WiiCade Remote API was written by Jerason Banes based on a combination of original research information published by Nintendo and Opera, as well as research made by Mario Klingemann of the Quasimodo website. Please take a look at their documentations and FAQ for more detailed technical information before installing this for your own personal use.
