Instructions<br><br>a) Have a proper infrastructure network connection set up and<br>working. The application uses the first connection (just like<br>the Lua WiFi example it's based on). In the event that you have<br>connection issues, note that I've heard that setting the power<br>save settings for WLAN to off can increase the speed/reliability<br>of connections (for homebrew), but I am unsure as to the truth of<br>this.<br><br>b) Create the folder "\PSP\PHOTO\Penny Arcade" on an inserted<br>memory card. This folder is needed for one required cache file<br>(the last comic viewed) as well as any other comics you've<br>decided to save (which can then be viewed offline from the PSP<br>photo viewing software).<br><br>c) If you are a fan of Penny Arcade, this viewer, or just being<br>a decent human-being, consider donating to Penny Arcade's (of<br>which I have no affiliation) Child's Play charity drive at<br>http://www.childsplaycharity.org<br><br>2. Controls<br><br> square - change viewing mode<br> l trigger - previous comic<br> r trigger - next comic<br> start - hop back to the very first Penny Arcade comic avail.<br> circle - save currently displayed comic (image) to memory card<br> for offline viewing from the PSP photo viewer (note that<br> there will always be at least one image in the<br> "\PSP\PHOTO\Penny Arcade" folder as caching the latest<br> comic viewed is required)<br><br> WHEN IN THE SECOND VIEWING MODE ONLY (original/unscaled):<br><br> analog stick - move selection box (fast/low-precision)<br> d-pad - move selection box (slow/high-precision)<br> x - update viewing area to the area designated by the<br> selection box<br><br>3. Known Issues/Thoughts<br><br> Sometimes the application will lock up when trying to connect<br> to the network to download the latest comic (this appears to be<br> a Lua issue). After this is fixed, I'll release an update. Note<br> that once you have downloaded the latest comic (have a successful<br> connection with the router/etc. going) you should be able to read<br> as many prior comics as you want without issue.<br><br> I would have liked to have had a viewing mode in which the PSP is<br> meant to be oriented sideways, but that, as well as a few other<br> viewing modes I was experimenting with, turned out to be more<br> work than they were worth.<br><br>Thanks/shouts to Skylark, Niacin, Shine, Nevyn, and Lumo.
