Description:
A lot of people have been having problems with audio when converting their PSX ISO's to play on their PSP's using Popstation, a program which was bundled with Dark_Alex's 3.x OE custom firmwares. There have been many popstation GUI's released since then but today we are proud to bring you a new version of Popstation to enable the use of CDDA audio which in english translates to CD Audio tracks included in PSX games. This new popstation.exe from PSP coder Tinnus should work with any GUI you are currently using as all modifications have taken place inside Popstation itself, the original program which most GUI's use.
Here's how to use it:
* Replace your existing popstation.exe with the one in the archive (either stand-alone or along with a GUI)
* Rip your CD or convert your existing image to CloneCD format. You should have a .ccd file with the same name as your image file (for example, game.img and game.ccd or game.bin and game.ccd).
* Make sure the image and .ccd files are in the same directory and run popstation.exe, or your GUI of choice as normal and now CD audio will work.
Tinnus has included the source code with this application and has confirmed that Tomb Raider, ripped to .img and .ccd, converted to EBOOT with PSX2PSP 0.7 at compression level 9 works with this, and so should any other game using CCD audio. We at QJ would like to say a big thankyou to Tinnus for this as it will make it much better playing those old PSX games for a lot of gamers.
