Description:
After working several times on a nameless PopStation mod, homebrew dev Coldbird has now his sights set on improving the quality of PSX titles being played on our dear handhelds. A couple of days ago, he released the first version of Paladin.
To those of you who missed it, Paladin is one nifty application that allows conversion of PAL formats to NTSC. Coldbird has mentioned that these games were troubling him on POPS and so he decided to give it a look. The first version, as good as it is already, encountered minor issues with some games.
Having taken notice of the problem, Coldbird immediately updated Paladin to v1.1. He maintains that the first version should work 99% of the time but if it doesnt, he added two new paramaeters to the new version: YFix and ScreenFix. More importantly, Paladin v1.1 now supports a helluva lot of games like Final Fantasy VII for starters. We guess that alone would make you jump up and down and get this app immediately.
Lastly, please be informed that Coldbird has made the application open source so it is perfectly fine with him if you tinker with it. Good work Coldbird. Keep 'em coming!
