Description:
French homebrew developer Sdevilcry has come up with the first release of the Pendu v1.0, a PSP variation of the game Hangman. While the game uses a French database for its dictionary, the game features a two player option which allows you to enter new words for your opponent to guess.
The word "pendu" means hanged in French, giving a very solid distinction to the theme of the game. The previously released 0.80 beta version was upgraded with a new interface when selecting letters, making the display much easier to read.
Sdevilcry is currently working on integrating a better dictionary for the solo mod. As it is, most of the words for the single player mode consist of a lot of French words that might give English-speaking players a harder time.
The developer is also working on optimizing the code further and even promised to put up a demo video of the refined version of the game when it's done. While the game is quite simple in nature, if other programmers can qualify for national competitions using Hangman-themed games then this game might be worth looking into as soon as future updates become available.
