spiderman 3 (collectors edition) game save

Hi All
i am based in the uk and have a copy of spiderman 3 collectors edition. i have tired to download the game save (for EU not US) and know how to save it to usb and copy it onto my ps3 however when i load up the spiderman 3 game it starts at the begining and doesnt recognise the game save that i have downloaded. i know some games lock the game saves but i was under the impression spiderman was not one of these games..

please can some one give some help and advise for additional things to try.

NB i also tried the programme that convers my param.sfo from my game save and the downloaded one to crate a new one.. that just resulted in the same or the file becoming corupt.

Well, they're all signed now, so we can't use downloaded Savedata that other people upload...
