Also, try a boot scan with Avast. A lot of times if the problem is in WINDOWS folder, then you will need to use the boot scan to find it. Avast won't scan and delete things in the WINDOWS folder while your in windows to prevent damage to the OS. So yea, if it doesn't find it then try the boot scan. Also, try seeing if Revouninstaller can find it, and uninstall it using the thorough removal. It'll find all the temporary files and registry entries that are associated with the program.
