well i have DirectTV with a Tivo box and i really like it. Besides the going out in storms thing, the channels and the interface are better (IMO) than Digital cable. Plus i think the NFL package is only on Direct TV.

It was on cable first.
Most didn't use it because of all the surprise fees, but then Dish picked it up, and had it cheaper.
After a while it was cheaper on cable too.

I have AOD(adult ondemand). I can get nhl center ice, nfl sunday ticket, mlb, and nba.

I have AOD, Sportskool, AnimeNetwork, and That one cartoon show with Frankin Muniz on demand.

I have the anime ondemand. I watched a few shows in hd, and one movie in hd AKIRA.
