Before the brewology consolidation there was a discussion about this.

Apparently the R4 is obsolete now. It was said that the company was not updating anymore and that the R4 does not support SDHC.

Still if you have one you have got a really nice piece of hardware there. I have on too.

i bought mine off a site called gamebay. 26 dollars with fast shipping

the r4 is a ds cartridge you can put games movies and music on. its cheaper then a real game. pirates like myself dont have to do any real modding

I found one at a local store (yes, I know that shouldn't be possible), for about 30 or 40. Should I get it?

N5 is superior to the R4.

The N5 supports the High Capacity SD cards where the R-4 does not.

Aside from that both do the same thing and they do it well. Either is an excellent choice.

I'm on the old Super Card lite... worked great when I use it, but I haven't played DS since zelda came out for it. It just sits in a drawer, probably with a dead battery.

The N5 is a clone of the R4 and has been known to burn out the fuses in a ds.

if you guys want to get the best nds slot 1 cart, get the cyclods. way better then those out dated carts. it has real time save, an in game text reader, slomo, built in action replay and sdhc compatibility.

RHS has it for free shipping atm: http://www.realhotstuff.com/-c-85.html

i got mine there.

the supercard ds1 is also a great cart too. its cheaper, but lacks a few feature of the cyclods.

Not to start a back and forth here but if the N5 were a clone of the R4 then the R4 should be able to handle the high capacity SD cards, it does not or at least my R4 does not I should say.

I never heard anything about the N5 or any DS device blowing fuses. I guess it's something to consider and watch out for.
