Real simple wallpaper re-coloring

I was wondering one of you guys can do a quick edit for me.

The problem with this picture for me is that the white background just hurts my eyes. I was wondering if the white background can be made black and the people and the flag (the already black part) can be made a shade of dark blue. I just want this to easier on the eyes.

Just wondering if anyone made progress on this. I forgot to say "all the white, EXCEPT for the skull on the flag". My bad.

I tried doing this when you asked. It was too complicated for me. Make a post on GFXBrew.

That's how mine started and I couldn't get the white to go away. :(
