i finally unbricked my dummy psp but now im lost

ahh my psp is unbricked imm so happy thnx a lot to everyone that helped even to lalilulelo that got on msn and guided me step by step looked like the 1st time i did it i messed up thnx again

ohh about that i had 3.40 apple core theme and when i entered the music it froze and same with the videos...did u get it to work?

works fine for me, but im on 3.52 M33...should work just fine on 3.40 oe-a as well tho. Did you have any other plugins enabled? Sometimes plugins interfere with the operations of some programs. Anyways... if anything send me your msn info in a pm and i'll help you thru there.

there was multiple music rco files that are the same on the theme pack and for those people who overlooked it just copied and pasted it anyways
and that could be causing the music icon to freeze. the quesion is which is the right file? and im still trying to find out which one is the right one.

probably because they messed with the Flash0 files. (I'm not saying you did, It might just be the theme) but It could happen when switching themes, this is not uncommon. If you modify the flash with a non secure program, or you do it manually and don't know what your doing, this can happen.

okayy i been trying and trying to install the apple core theme but having the same problems..im not scared at all of bricking cuz the new pandora battery so i keep in reinstalling but it still aint working

and it's very hard to execute a full brick with custom firmware, so your ok. you might be psp-less for a while though if you do semi-brick it. be sure you have at least 20 mb of space on your memory stick whilst preforming the flashing operation! good luck to you!

There is many different music_... files yes, but theyre all different. Not all of them are rco, some of them are prx and some of them have different names after the underscore portion of it.

Anyways, i've looked around and some people have reported on 3.40 oe that theyve had to do this to get it to work...

if you want to be able to play music and video then don’t replace the following plugins when flashing.(3.40 OE only) Don’t replace the following: in flash0:\vsh\nodule\ don’t replace “music_main_plugin.prx” and
“msvideo_plugin.prx”
Don’t replace the following in flash0:\vsh\resource\
Don’t replace “music_main_plugin.rco” and
“msvideo_main_plugin.rco”
Now music and video should work

This is a problem that only 3.40 OE has with this theme, it works flawlessly on 3.52 m33.

so other than that just copy and paste the rest

I would just recover than upgrade back to custom. or yeah, you could replace your flash files.

i didnt get it to work when i did that it went to a black screen but atleast i had recovery still so now im back at the normal one. mann idk why but i just cant get it too work i need a tutorial for this

diehard your not helping the kid man and hes tested it and tested it over and over again. so newpspdude I'm only gonna say this once, if you love the theme so much I suggest you just update to 3.52m33 cuz you and me know already if we just keep forcing the theme to work on 3.40oe-a it'll brick.
(staxx can you lock this, cuz it lost its intended purpose. it was a firmware question thread but now its a xmb question thread)
