In order to install Custom Firmware on your SLIM PSP, you'll need to use this tutorial: Despertar Cementario
So it is mandatory to make a Pandora's Battery and a special memory stick that has the files on it that will redirect you to 3.71 M33-2. You can upgrade to 3.71 M33-4 then 3.80 M33. So I guess right now, you should use that tutorial so you will be ready to upgrade to 3.80 M33 when it comes out. However, you need a psp with Custom Firmware or 1.50 already on it in order to make the stuff. Or you can buy them on eBay or have someone else make them for you.
Be sure to know that using the 'Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick" will not work, for that takes you to 1.50, but SLIM psps aren't compatible to 1.50 so it won't work.
