Convert to.. .AT3

Well does anyone know how to convert a music file to .AT3 format? I have the files made by SonicStage which are 'Atrac files' but it isn't a standard .AT3 file. Is there a way that i can convert these several files into the .AT3 format or .MP3 to .AT3 or anything?

According to this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_T ... tic_Coding

"In the recently released Sonic Stage version 3.2 and 3.3 some more bitrates have been introduced, the available bitrates are: 48, 64, 96, 128, 160, 192, 256, 320 and 352 kbit/s. The newer bitrates are not always compatible with all older hardware decoders, however, some of the older hardware has been found to be compatible with certain newer ATRAC3plus bitrates."

All you should need is an update.

Here is a rooty tooty for Soundstage:

I know Soundforge 9 will do what you want. I have used Goldwave in the past but version 5.22 does not seem to have Atrac3 capability anymore.

I don't know how much this helps.

Ah cool, I'll see if I can get this to work thanks.

I used GoldWave but it doesn't have the Atrac3 computability..

EDIT: does it have to be SonicStage 3.X something? I have 4.3 and I think it might have lost its .AT3 encoding.

Wish I could have gotten this out sooner but it has been a few months since I have done this and forgot everything I went through to get it done.
here is what I did...

Installed Sonicstage
Uninstalled Sonicstage

Installed Soundforge 8
Uninstalled Soundforge 8

Installed Golwave 5.22
Installed Sony ATRAC3 Audio Codec 0.98 from here : http://www.free-codecs.com/Sony_ATRAC3_ ... wnload.htm

Instead of clicking on the .exe file for the codec right click on the .ini file and choose install in the menu. Continue the install despite any warnings for age of file or languages.

Open Goldwave, choose your file (Mine was already a .wav file) Choose save as, select wave for "save as type" and on the scroll beneath that is attributes. Select ATRAC3 (all the way on the bottom)

I made a really nice sound Mix for my Einhander Eboot. I wonder if the mods would be able to make space for uploads of AT3 files and video files for Eboots similar to the memory card saves on the Xbox Brew page.

Hmm...

Sorry for not getting it to you sooner. Did you get it to work under Soundstage or Goldwave?
