Help needed on Video for Psp

Just got a FW3.71 M33-3 phat psp.

Tried copying an mp4 to MP_ROOT/100MNV01, however there is a message saying corrupted data

Tried the above with MP_ROOT/VIDEO, and it does not work too

I have tried Super@, PSPVideo9, www.media-convert.com but nothing seems to work at all. I tried different ratios and formats for the converted file and nothing works

Is there anyone out there who can REALLY help .... Been dojng this for close to 11 hrs and its 7am here ..... I still cant find a solution

I had also in the meantime re loaded 3.71 M33-3 4 times to make sure its not a FW error

In desperate need of help

Try putting it into the 'VIDEO' folder, i put all my videos including .MP4 ones in there, I don't ever use the MP_ROOT folder.
The 'VIDEO' folder should be in the same directory as the 'MP_ROOT' folder.

when i used to use videos on my psp i would put them in the mproot folder, but you have to make sure you use the correct subfolder, or theres a chance you can just put them in the regular video folder.

Does the .MP4 file not work in your VIDEO folder?

EDIT: I guess its probably a corrupt video file, try downloading this MP4 file and put it in your VIDEO folder and see if it works.

well i just put an mp4 on my psp quite easily. I put it in the regular video folder, and included the .THM that you have to have accompanying the mp4.

and i'm using 3.71m33-4

Lol yea, i remember hearing about that, but I think the psp has long been programmed to not need that file. I think it was in my MP_ROOT folder at one point or something.

ya that was back when i had to put it in the MPROOT folder, but ya i dont think you need it any more. IDK why it wouldnt work for this guy, it worked fine for me. And plus i thought the PSP could play all kinds of other video formats now?

glad to hear u got it working, the psp has great video playback, i love using it. Only problem is it doesnt have much storage for bigger videos. and ya that THM thing was an ancient thing you had to do like last year, idk what it originally did.
