Fat or Slim PSP?

My Fat PSP recently has had problems with the X button and Best Buy will replace it with the replacement insurance. Is it better to have a slim or fat nowadays. I usually play psx and emulators (snes, gba, nes) on it and some homebrew is there any limitations on the slim that will affect what I do on it. Otherwise I will just keep my fat and fix the button. Thanks for any suggestions and help.

BTW I currently have 3.80 m33-4 with the 1.50 addon so will i be able to make the battery and stick with it to put CFW on the slim after I trade it in?

I do not think it matters. There are workarounds for all of the PSP slim issues that have come up in the past, I do not think you would be missing out on anything.
You can use eloader to run your 150 kernel games and emulators. The slim has twice the ram and has the CPU clock set at 333 right out of the box. The extra ram will allow you to make the most of your 3.80 firmware by allowing you to stream audio from Shoutcast. Also having 2 PSPs is a benefit if you want to setup Pandora because your Fat battery fits and works in the slim.

If it were me I would get the slim. I have both actually but IF I were you I would get the slim.

i agree, i would get a slim because now the differences in homebrew capability mean nothing, and actually gives you cool options such as video out, and like him i have a slim and an old phat psp, but now there really is no reason to not get a slim, as it is just as simple to run homebrew emulators and psx games.
