I give up. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have read many confusing posts from many different forums. Please, help me? I just got a PSP fat that I would like to hack. It's running 3.90 firmware. Can someone please point me to a post with the information that I need to hack this thing? Do I need a Pandora battery? Can I just flash it with custom firmware? What is the real deal here? I'm not asking for anyone to hold my hand, I'm asking you to just point me in the right direction to a post with clear, precise instructions on what the real deal here is. Thank you.

First, go left...

Yes, you need a Pandora battery and magic memory stick. You can follow our tutorial to do it. You need a psp with custom firmware to make the magic memory stick, or use the TOTALNewbieasyInstaller. Just search for it and it will help you make the memory stick and you can hardmod the battery.

Thank you! You have been super helpful here! Now the big question. Where do I obtain a Pandora Battery and "Magic Mem Stick"? Ebay? Do you know of anywhere on line that has a good reputation? Thank you!

You can buy a datel tool battery... search for it and you can find it. The memory stick I'm not sure. You can make it yourself using the TOTALNewbieasyInstaller. Search for it and download it.

Emm... Ok. So you're telling me that with my PSP fat I can make my own Pandora Battery? Is that correct? Now, what about my Mem Stick? I can make a magic one out of that? I have a 2 gig stick right now. Can I just do it with that? Does the mem stick have to be a pro duo? I'm sorry for all these questions, but everything is so confusing. Starting to come together for me. I just don't want to brick the damn thing. Thanks again.

Yes use a 2GB or lower if you want as long as it says "MEMORY STICK PRO DUO".Could be any brand though.
