Legal Problems for DevHook

Well I would buy one anyways so who cares, I mean I hardly sell my games since i like them a lot (the only game I have recently sold owuld be sims 2 for psp since it just sucked)

Some of us can't sell what we don't actually have! LOL! (Think about it!)

Well whatever method was used, I think we would have heard something more about the supposed exploit by now even if it wasnt a usable version I would have expected more pics, perhaps a video or something by now.

There was an announcement by one of them.. here it is:

Ok. I've had enough PMs and emails about this DevHook Legal Problems stuff, so I'm making a public statement (lol).

Let's begin:

The only thing BOOSTER got in trouble for was having the Reboot_1.50.bin in the 0.43 fix.
Because of that reason, the site is no longer able to distibute DevHook.

BUT!
Booster is still allowed to host on another sever/site, aslong has no more sony copyright material is uploaded.
This means DevHook is probably not dead just yet.
Unless Sony are a bunch of pricks as usual and find another way to shut him down.

Now, as for the full packs.
Sony has to first send either me or greg a cease and desist letter, telling us to basically not distribute the files.
That's where we run into another issue.
Frankly, I technically could run into legal problems, as I am the one uploading the files.
However, it would be less grave as I am not hosting the files.
I'm using sites such as RapidShare, MegaUploads, F-Forge, etc.

Now the big question: Will I continue releasing the Ultimate Installer and the DevHook packs?

As long as Booster releases, I will distribute.
Even if by chance PSP-Hacks is told to stop, or even me.

The P2P network is a funny place.
If I ever have to stop posting the links, look there.
It will be posted on Limewire and other P2P programs/networks.

And of course, on Torrent Networks.
Hell, it's already there!

So I will now automatically be releasing a Torrent at every release.
I will seed until there are enough seeders.
