Help with installing Firmware

HI so err i've been seeing all these pictures and videos about custom firmware so eventually i thought id give it a go. I was on Firmware 2.6 and i used the auto downgrader for 2.5/2.6, the one that automatically installs the eloader then you use GTA LCS to downgrade to 1.5. I then used an auto installer to Upgrade to 3.02 OE-A with the intention of upgrading OE-B, OE-C ect. The problem is the update for 3.02 OE-B just wont work, i've put it in PSP/GAME/GAME150 and when i start it on my psp it loads then just returns to the menu saying This Game could not be started (80020148) anyone got any ideas? should i have not used that auto installer? Thanks for the help guys this is my first post so im a bit of a newbie

You might want to consider updating to a newer custom firmware as 3.02 oe is quite outdated. If you need any links just give me a shout.

thanks i like this site its great for tutorials and stuff. Just to let you know i'm on 3.40 OE now and i love it......although for some reason i went in to noob mode earlier and deleted some flash0 files and nearly bricked.....thank god for recovery mode
