Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions + lag

So, I'm sure all of you know that the PSP remake of Final Fantasy Tactics was recently released. However, to a dismay of many, there is horrendous lag whenever a "skill" is used. I tried going into my PSP's recovery mode and upping the clock to 333 mhz, but that made no difference. I'm thinking about dumping the UMD onto my memory stick and running it from there, but again, I'm not sure.

Does anyone know if it's possible (and if so, how) to remove the lag?

Best thing you could do is just try what asddasit said, leave the clock at 333mhz and dump it onto the mem stick and get rid of all the padding using UMDGEN v4.0.
