Sony Attempts to Patent Motion Sensing Technology

Well I have no problem with the Sixaxis controller but a bit more functionality with the motion sensor would be really cool.

i dont think those would feel natural tho like the wii controller... just my opinion

I could imagine some cool things to do with it:

Using it in a game like MGS: Use the sensor to peek around corners and such

Using it in a game like Ratchet&Clank: use it to quickly switch between weapons

Or maybe even using it in a game like Tekken: tilt to perform a quick sidestep.

Ive heard this a lot
Look it up in the patent office, sony owns the spiderman movies and thier logos. they didnt steal it, they used their own work.
And it wasnt till late 2005 that the 'revolution' said it was going to have motion sensing. There might have een some cross company espienage, but still, this is sony's patent, so technically, they already own the idea. they could sue nintendo, for copying them.
and the sixaxis isnt made to rival motion sensing, its to make driving games more awesome to the max

I heard that they were selling the new umd releases for 8$
i think they are going to start selling them again
but not at walmart, youll have to go to target

Wow.. just wow, If sony gets away with this i will be so mad. Whats will happen to the wii??? ... and Sony did steal the idea for a motion sensing controller from Nintendo. The only reason that they are trying to do this is to piss off Nintendo because we all know that Nintendo is owning them in sales

they make the PS3 playable for mp3's, videos, movies and a built in Blue Ray
which really doesnt matter because there are more movies on DVD anyways and
all people care about is good gameplay, oh and just to be cheap will go ahead take
the motion sensing idea from Nintendo

this completely defeats the pupose of having a wii. did anybody notice that the controler
is almost identical to the wii controler
