2.cass latency or CL (the lower, the faster but u gotta get what ur mobo supports)
3. ddr, ddr2 etc. (different mobos accept different kinds of ram ddr is the last fastest but most mobos use that, ddr2 is faster and uses less current. ddr has like 180 or something close to that pins and ddr2 has like 240, so they cant be mixed up.)
3. speed (ur motherboard has a speed at which the north works, open the case and MOST of the time the north bridge (usuaslly has the second heat sink next to the cpu, has a speed ex. ddr 400, which u gotta get ddr 400 ram)
