Need help downloading from this site!!!

Ok, that works, I think I can do that, so does it matter what custom filmware? Or just pick whatever the highest number it is for the best? I guess I will have to take a trip to Gamestop!Okay,so I will try the GTA:LCS since It will probually be a better game than Lumines anyway,you get to shoot up people!!Yeah that is my kind of game. Well the most people use are 3.03OE-C (Less of a chance of bricking when messing with the xmb) or 3.40OE-A(Has better psx emulation and well its most up to date, plus I have never had a problem flashing the xmb anyways). I would say 3.40OE-A but thats up to you. No problemo.

Ok,but does 3.40OE-A have a better chance of getting bricked?If so ,I might just get 3.03OE-C, do they both allow you to get emulators and packs and all of that good stuff?(Like do you need 3.40OE-A,to get the smash Pack)It sounds pretty understandible so far...but I did learn so far just with this topic alone.

If your careful with messin with the xmb then no. Just lern how to flash the xmb first and you won't brick it with 3.40OE-A. Atl east people say its easier to flash the xmb on 3.03 but I have never had a problem. There practically the same thing cept you can play more iso's(psp games, but instead its a file you download and put it on your memory stick. Like you could download any psp game you like off the internet and put it on your memory stick).
3.03OE-C: Easier to flash the xmb suposidly.
3.40OE-A: Better ps1 emulation, better support for iso's, and just all around newer.
And they both play all the homebrew you want.(Thats what emulators and all those programs you find around here are referred to as, homebrew) You can play the same emulators on both.

Cool, that is alot of info just in that post, but helpful too ok so pretty much all that means is flat out the 3.40OE-A is better am I correct?but since it is newer,it should be better I guess Ok that will help,so What is a xmb?I have heard of it before from turorial topics,but I still dont understans it,Maybe I should've come here first to learn all of the weird name things such as the filmwares and the xmb's all that mumbo jumbo
What do you mean by flash the xmb?I guess I have alot more to learn than I thought,I am just a mere padawan so far.

Its the media bar that pops up when you first turn on your psp. Its the thing that says like "Photo" and "Game" and all that stuff. When I mean flash xmb I mean you can change the sounds and the pictures and stuff. Like this photo:

You can change the regular icons to that. But I suggest you read up on it first or you can brick your psp. Even though custom firmware has a mode called recovery mode so you really can't brick it, its easier to learn how to flash the xmb then brick your psp and downgrade/upgrade all over again.

Wow that is pretty cool, I think it is better than the stock icons, does that just happen to be your PSP? Also I noticed the waves...Those are custom made too aren't they?Man...I cant wait untill I can get my PSP upgraded like that,and does it take up memory space on your memory stick to upgrade and change the icons and all that Just wondering because I am almost out of memory.

No, I still haven't got around to posting a picture of mine. Its DA's, and yes those are custom waves along with a loading wave at the bottom instead of the regular loading circle thingy. It only takes up space on the internal flash memory of your psp. Don't worry about it much though. When you learn how to do that stuff just make sure you have enough space on a thing called flash0, which is what the flash memory in the psp is called. I have a couple of similar icons though.

Ok,so what is the deal with MP4's?I never heard of them and apearantly those are the types of video media thingy you need for it to play on the PSP, here are a few Questions I have about them.
1. Do you have to buy them?
2. Are they related to MP3's?
3. Are they next gen,if so I am behind?
4. Are they rare or common now in days?
5. Can you convert normal vids to MP4's?

mp4 is just a type of file, it likes a .avi but more compressed. Most cellphones and handhelds use mp4's nowadays. There free, just gotta use a program like pspvideo9 to covnert your videos to mp4 format so you can play them on a psp.

Well I would guess he has enough common sense to go to the tutorial section and look for a tutorial that way he can also get the files. He won't brick ti if he can't get the files, and he can't get the files if he doesn't look for a tutorial.

Thanks,I do have common sense I have been looking through the tutorial sections looking for help for downgrading and stuff,but I may need a little help.What do you mean by files?And yes actually I do know what bricking does,I have heard alot about it on other topics and saying they got bricked and they are all sad,I htought it was a prank at first,but I hope it doesnt happen to me though...So I might need some help. And since oyu guys already did it you would be the best, Heck pretty much every member did it!!
